Dear Little Girl,
Happy Halloween, little pumpkin! I am sorry to tell you that I have no plans to dress up my bump today, as we are leaving for North Carolina soon, but I am donning an orange scarf for the occasion, and already looking forward to potential costumes for your first Halloween next year!
This weekend is our very first baby shower for you! Hence, why we are heading to North Carolina! Mimi, Aunt Kay, and Aunt Moe have been working extremely hard to get everything together, and I can't wait to see how it all turns out, as well as get together with lots of people to celebrate you! All I know right now is that the shower has a storybook theme, and all the guests have been asked to bring a children's book for you! I am so excited about getting your little library going, and I am sure Daddy will enjoy having new books to read to you at night.
The weather has really cooled down a lot in the last week, which has been nice, and Lucy is enjoying playing in the leaves. I am sure the two of you will have loads of fun next fall rolling around in leaf piles :)
Nothing new to report on the food or exercise front, as it is staying much the same. Well, other than one or two days where I felt like I might eat everything in the house, but, otherwise, pretty normal! Your activity level seems to have gone up, and you have started giving me little (and sometimes not so little) nudges at times when you have been quiet in the past. I absolutely love every little kick and punch you throw my way - they always, always bring a smile to my face.
Really, it has been a fairly quiet week, which we will gladly take since it is about to be all out craziness for a little while before your arrival. Between showers, visitors, and the holidays, I can only imagine how quickly January is going to get here!
