Letters to Baby: Week 16

Dear Baby,

It is crazy how quickly the weeks seem to pass right now! At 16 weeks, you are already the size of an avocado, and growing strong! We have our next doctor's appointment next Wednesday, and will finally have a countdown to the Baby Ligon Gender Reveal! We are so excited to know what you are, and be able to call you by name!

I am still anxiously awaiting my first flutters, and can't wait for you to get rocking and rolling in there. I am sure I might eat those words after a few kicks to the ribs, but I will savor them all!

Nothing really new to report on the food front, still a lot of the same, but my love of pizza seems to be back in full force (which I am not sure is a good or bad thing!). Still lots of fruits with the occasional veggies. Still loving eggs, and tolerating some meats. Dairy and carbs are still high on the list. If nothing else, I am just glad that things have gotten a little more predictable on the food front. As much as I love grocery shopping, it is nice to not spend an hour or so wandering all the aisles until I find something I feel like eating (especially since I usually only feel like eating it for a day or two before it becomes part of the pantry graveyard - I'm looking at you spaghettios and toasted coconut almonds!).

Daddy and I are trying to take as much time as we can to enjoy date nights, trying new things and places, as well as spend time relaxing over these next few months. We know it will continue to fly by (people - stop telling me how many Fridays there are until Christmas!), and while we can't wait to meet you, we also want to enjoy this time, and let you bake as long as possible :)

So, keep on growing and swimming, and know that we love you so much!

Love,
Mommy
