Dear Baby,
Well, it is officially crazy that everyone knows about you now! Your Daddy & I have been holding this secret close to our chests for so long now, that it feels weird (in a good way!) to share you with the world! Everyone is so excited, and cannot wait to meet you!
Of course everyone only hopes for you to be a healthy & happy baby, but, some people think it would be super fun if you are a boy, and others think it would be super fun if you are a girl. Personally, I know it will be super fun either way, but if you are a little boy, I hate to tell you that your Aunt Kay will probably be dressing you up as a merman at various points in your life. It can be your own form of the pink bunny suit from A Christmas Story.
At 10 weeks, you are the size of a prune (or a kumquat, if you ask Mimi or Aunt Moe). Your little heart was beating 164 beats per minute at our ultrasound the other day. All of your vital organs are fully developed, and you are already starting to grow fingernails and hair! The ultrasound tech also told us that, in the next couple weeks, you will have grown every bone you will ever have! Although I can't yet feel it, they say you are also moving around and kicking!
I still have only had one official craving, which was a Sonic cherry limeade several weeks ago. I do really like sweets these days, though, and am still having major aversions to things like meat and vegetables! I am hoping that as we get closer to the second trimester, you will expand your preferences a bit!
Oh, little one, we are so thankful for you, and already love you so much! We'll make our first deal, okay: You just keep getting bigger and stronger every day, and we will do everything we can to get ready for your arrival!
